hi,
My company filed for H1B Extension as it is expiring in november 2009. How much time will it take to get the H1B extension approved ? Once i get H1B extension(probably for 1 year or 3 years), then should i go for H1B stamping, if so, i have to go to India for H1B Stamping. Let me know...

I was on H1 with my previous company but laid off last week. I have !485 AOS and EAD.
I believe I can straight away join any company (consultancy or any enterprise company) on EAD , right pls ?
if get a job offer from Comapny "A" and join them today and file AC-21 today and meanwhile say I get another job from another Company "B" after two days and join them, can I file another AC-21 without waiting to hear back from USCIS. I believe AC 21 is just informational for USCIS that I have switched the jobs.

I am an EB3 (rest of the world) -
My I485 has a receipt date of 7/24/2007.
The processing date TSC is showing is 7/16/2007.
When my date comes up inside the Processing dates range, will the category be relevant for the approval? I am asking this question because I have a friend that is an EB2 and a receipt date of Sept 2007, and got his GC on December 2007...
If the categories are relevant, how can we monitor the process (the processing dates then become irrelevant)...

Guru's please help....
My attorney sent in EAD renewal applications for me and my spouse. We got a receipt from USCIS yesterday with a MSC receipt number with some information on scheduling biometrics. I called my attorney and asked him about the same. He said that this is normal as he did the right thing by sending our application to a lock box address in Chicago. We are wisconsin residents. Please advise if this is fine to get a recipet notice from the Missouri service center address.

I have heard it is possible to change employer on 7th year of H1-B, though not immediately. The new employer should file LCA more than 365 days before the H1-B expires. Next time when renewing H1-B it can be renewed with new employer.

Hi all,
My I-140 was approved 2.5 years back and I-485 was also approved more than an year back.
But, today the status on my I-140 got changed to "REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD". I am not sure, why did they reopen the case again. I checked with my company and they assured me that they didn't revoke my I-140.
Could anyone suggest me what's happening to my case. Has anyone seen an similar kind of an issue and wat shd I do further ?

I am a GC holder right now and would like know, if I should wait to become Citizen or file GC for my sibling now.

It seems that I made a mistake in my DS-160 and my H1B got stamped with an error in my middle name. I repeated my lastname as my middle name so my full name appears as: 1stName 1stLASTNAME 1stLASTNAME 2ndLastname
I have a Tourist Visa also stamped wich is OK. Also the data on my passport.
My I797 is OK and everything else is OK.
I am still in my home country. Should I be worried about it? Should I try change it here or in the US?
In any event, what's the correct procedure to change it?

Hello,
We have our 485 interview's next week @ the Baltimore Field Office. My PD is current for EB-2. My case is pretty straightforward so hopefully should not be a issue.
Would appreciate any comments from folks in MD who have been interviewed @ the Fallon Federal Building in downtown.
Particularly - can they approve our cases right there & then.? Will they stamp our passports for approval since PD is current for January 2011.? Can there be any issued with visa number not available, etc. ?
Any advice is appreciated.
