It seems that everytime you make a comment/opinion on somebody's comments, somebody will always fire back with a very nasty and inappropriate reply. I don't understand that. I thought IV is an open forum that you can exchange opinions, but it seems that everytime you make your own, people start to gang up on you if your opinion is against theirs, no matter how you phrase it properly.
They can just reply in an educated way instead of abusing or using nasty and harsh words.

I understand but i already sent our media drive to 50 different media , i aleady sent multiple faxes , i already sent many many emails but please advise me what more should i do to convince IV core that issues i have mentioned also effect many who are already IV members , i am requesting you to see Text of Webfax is added acoordingly ?

If they start processing/approve I-140, they will immi get bombarded with I485/EAD/AP applications. So they are trying to artifically stem down the workload they might get. Also this gives them a chance to clearup the 485 queue ... :-)

If you need solutions to your problems, you need to act as professionally as possible. Please stop throwing tantrums and also mind your P's and Q's when you utter expletives against the USCIS. Would you be brave enough, if not foolhardy enough, to reproduce whatever you've said in your threads here in a separate letter and send it out to the USCIS? Trust me, you'll not, since you'll act politely and courteously to make out your case. Decorous behaviour is called for when dealing with pertinent issues in the IV forum.

Maintaining GC is a big hassle you have to return every year (2years for the first time i think). Couple of Infosys blokes (with GC) that i know had discussed this with the company before joining and the company sent them within 2years on a short term projects to the US.
If you have a US citizenship then you can opt for a dual citizenship. That might help you get a job directly in India (dont know the rules, just guessing)

Marriage, kids, school, house, GC...Citizenship...it kinds of gets on you. And before you know, your kids are making the decision for you. I know of a couple of families with grown up kids who moved back to India only to move back to US because the "kids could not adjust". It's not hard to read between the lines that "we also could not adjust".
As days go by, it is becoming more clear everyday that I will also return back one day, sooner rather than later. I have some questions that haunt me:
- if/when I get my GC, and if I return back, is there a way to hold on to the GC status?
- if someone has a US citizenship, when companies such as Infosys hire them, do they have to get a work visa or something? Is there a concept equivalent of H1/GC for non Indians yet?

Hello, I have been through the same situation for past 2 years. Just carry your receipt for extension to the local MVC and they will give you 3-month extension on your licence. During that course, your actual extension should arrive upon which you will have to renew your licence. It's better to spend $24 for licence renewal that spending $1000 for premium processing.
My H1 extension is under process. I had applied in Dec 2006. My DL expires on May 6. Is it possible to renew my license with the H1 extension receipt?. Is it possible to do Premium Processing now?

What is wrong with bonded to 1 job type ? You file AC21 but job type should be similar. You cannot become a company's Vice president if your labor was for Programmer, why are you picking on things ? The guy sitting next to my cubicle is here more than 7 years, he's waiting for his 140, he's stuck with my employer while he wants to move since he has a 3 years degree than a masters, He was considered a EB-3 I. Don't you think he wants to know how many decades it will take for his dates to get current ?

me and my spouse filed 1485 in july 2007 with a received date of 10/07/07.
we donot see anychanges online other than the case received and pending notice.
is there a way we can find the status of our case.if name check is cleared,any further finger printing as we only did once in 2007.ours is eb3.any input highly appreciated.

to add to the conversation on the price -> locals are also experiencing a glut of money due to the economic boom in the last 5 years or so. Small businesses have really taken off in a big way exporting to Europe/ US. Investors in the stock market have also hit the jackpot. And, once you have money, for most Indians the safest option to invest is in property or gold.
Also better salaries all around fueled by attrition of talent to the IT sector.

i took a loan from idbi bank 3 years ago - no complaints too
rate was floating and started at 8.25 and has gone up to around but pmi is still the same (was 10 year loan; i believe they increased the loan duration to around 12 years now); no prepayment penalty; slow on service - but get there eventually (unlike ICICI with whom I have every other account)
overall banking experience with ICICI/ Citibank/ HDFC has been poor so far - though the online experience at these banks is better than any other bank in the world.
i echo the question on tax deduction for India mortgage in the US - could you please point out any resources/ links for the same?

I took home loan from SYNDICATE BANK, Hyderabad 3 yrs ago. The rates were reasonable and I'd recommend them, but you have to compromise little on service. You can directly transfer money from US to Syndicate bank.
My question here is I didn't knew that we can save money in the form of tax deductable/excemption here in US on interest paid in India for home loans. Could you please let me know further details? If possible the CPA who you worked/working with for tax returns.
