If there are few cases which are returned for false reasons ( see other thread) after Aug 17th probably those few will be forgotten till PD becomes Current again - 6-7 yrs - Huh ? :)

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.

Did they release this info because of hearing today ? Can we find out how many of EB out of those I 485 ?
They need 10 months to process 146K I-140s but just 3 months for 765s. Ridiculous people.

If the system is flawed, any effort to work it out to get things done would seem incompetent and inefficient. First off, this guessing game by USCIS of estimating visa applications and asking for visa numbers from DHS is so neondartal and ridiculous.
Process must be automated and centralized to eliminate any human intervention in performing guesstimates. A pool of visas must be made available in the system and must remain available for the next year to be carried over if needs be. That would eliminate pressure on officials to play the game in the dark and rush like maniacs at the end of the fiscal year to catch frogs!
With all the revenue and system they have, do you think this is so tough to streamline? I doubt.
They can, at the minimum, have the cases in sequence, process per FIFO, control PD movements logically. The minimum they can do, easily.

I would recommend to shop around more. There are some banks who ask quetions such as visa status and other documentation and then there are some which don't. In my case; Citibank quoted for 0.5 additional rate due to my visa status but ING didn't.

i had run these numbers a while back. for sure EB2 will reach the end of 2005 this year. i just hope its done systematically so that they clear everybody with an EB2 2005 PD this year.
I have a different question. My PD is Dec 2005 but my 485 was filed in August 2005. Do you think they will approve (or work) on my 485 once my PD is current or will they wait for the US CIS processing time to move to August 2008 (which I don't think for India will happen anytime soon).

That is true and IV core member Nixtor had given details about this visa movement more than a month ago in the all state chapter conference call. This call was strictly for state chapter members of all states. IV core has been meeting DOS and USCIS regularly to find solution to the problems our members have been facing.
Pls take part in the call campaign and contribute funds to be able to find relief.
I don't follow. Are you saying that DOS is disclosing VISA bulletin to IV (core members) even before the actual date of bulletin???

I think this question may have been addressed before, so I apologize for the duplication.
I am trying to change my job and have an approved I-140 with a priority date of August 2006. The question is if I am successful in porting my old August PD for my new I-140 applied after May 2007, would I come under this new merit system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it has to be similar job PLUS with an established company.
from what i have gathered it seems that if USCIS issues a RFE or calls u for interview during adjucation they might ask for 2 yrs of tax filings of future employer to prove that it's an established company (although they are not suppposed to bring up 'ability to pay' issue which is already covered in approved 140 -- but being USCIS anything goes...).
i also wondered about the conflict of interest becoz it's your relative that u clearly identified in your G325 (Biographic) form -- but I guess if ppl are doing it then it's possible.
You can be self employed used that for AC 21 as per yates memo. In that case wht does it matter if you are working for your wife's company. since it allows you to work just by yoru self ( self employment == own your own company)
